That's right. It's me. DaddyYo is back with news, information and, most of all, opinion.
Dadgum this place has been dead. Rwaldy has made a good attempt to keep it alive. But, it looks like the interest in skate discussion has dropped as much as the interest in skating among the old guys.
Speaking of Team Geritol - what happened to them? As usual I am at the CWC four days a week and Jeff is the only one I ever see skating. Sometimes I'll see Eddie and Paul, Jim, Rich and Rob. But not very often.
I never see Elvis or Grippy. I thought you guys were the "core" crew? Where did you go? Franklin to skate the same pool over and over? Back to your backyard ramps?
What happened? Were you just not getting the respect as core skaters that you thought you would get?
I wonder, of those on the original skatepark committee, how many who influenced the design of the skatepark are still skating.
Ahh, it's good to be back.
Let's see. What else has happened in my absence. Oh yeah, Planet Sk8 (AKA Focus) went out of business. How could the biggest core guy of all the core guys have stopped skating and closed his shop? |

| Yeah, I miss the good ole days of CWC. Lets face it, skateboarding is just way too hard. Maybe we could get a gang of razor scooters going but they look kind of small. Roller blades could be an option but would miss the sideways stance. It would be so neat if someone could come up with a way to make skateboarding easier. Seems like some guy in SoCal has a lot of fans from putting magnets in his boards and shoes. If someone could just come up with a better way to make it easier and then try to turn everyone on to it by being hardcore. Does anybody remember those boards that have handle bars? Maybe that could make a comeback. |

Oh, it's not so hard. I think the thing that attracted the old guys to the sport was the "fraternal" aspect of the sport. They liked hanging with their brofriends more than they liked actualy skating. They were an exclusive club in their backyards.
When the CWC came around it was too democratic. Too many people were skateing that didn't meet the approval of the backyard boys and their self-described leader - DooDoo.

I doubt that would help. The problem is trying to think of sport as hardcare and then trying to convince others that you are hard core as a result of your participation in the sport.
If you just did it because you liked it you'd probably have more fun and wouldn't quit when you discovered you weren't as hard core as you thiought you were. |

Ruin what? How can anyone feel left out of something they don't want to be apart of? |

Oh, I see. You are blaming your weakness on me. You are admiting that the only reason you skated was to hang out with guys and that you don't skaste anymore because "I ruined it".
Wow, that is a little sad and more than gay. |

| Got me wrong. Park seems like plenty of people at peak hours if I just wanted to hang. Just calling it like I see it. Seems like you spend more time pitching your board to little kids than riding anyways. Might want to hook up with that blader from Ft. Cambell. You seem to be cut from the same mold. We won't ask if you don't tell. |

I never said their weren't plenty of people. I said their were few of the Geritol team still there.
I don't "pitch" my board to any little kids. I can't help it if they are interested in my board and I take the time to help children.
I don't know who you are so I can't say what you do. You seem to spend a lot of time watching me though.
I'm not there to "hook up" like you obviously are. |

Best thing I've read so far.
I don't get out to CWC that much and try to avoid the crowds but checked the forum to see what's happening in Nashville skate scene. Read all the previous crap before and thought it was pretty funny until the families/personal stuff was brought in. I'm just really curious, why would you write such stuff and then act like everybody is your best friend in person? Atleast be consistent. Enough bashing from me. Have fun. |

So by checking the forums you know enough about me to say that I spend more time sshowing kids my board than riding?
Yeah, I didn't like it when Elvis said he was going to confront my family either. Kinda sick. I'm glad you agree.
To satisfy your curiousity let me first correst your misconception. I don't say anything here that I wouldn't say to anyones face. I don't act like anyones' "best friend". I talk to the people who talk to me.
The assholes who come on here an give me shit are too scared to say anything to me in person so I certainly don't act like they are my best friends. |

Wow! Guess I'm pwned now! As much as I loved owning a skate shop I was forced to close it with the state of which our economy is in right now. Hopefully one day I can reopen when the economy rebounds.
I don't see how you can make such false accusations that I have stopped skating just b/c you don't see me out at CWC all the time. Quite the opposite actually...I'm now a regional account manager for an environmental construction company and I cover most of the southeast. I'm on the road every week and get to skate at different skateparks all the time! Was out on the coast of NC skating 2 weeks ago and the Oxford, MS and Knoxville parks the weeks prior. I'll be in Arkansas this coming week skating the Dreamland N. Little Rock park. |

You have selective memory. What's sick about me telling your wife and kids that you have a potty mouth? You just didn't want your wife knowing how you behave online. What is SICK is the way you lead a double-life. Feel free to tell my wife anything you want about my behavior at the skate park or anywhere else for that matter. Her number is 615-554-3560.
Just because people skate at different times than you, does NOT mean they are not skating. That's egocentric as I mentioned before. The world does not revolve around you in your TRUMAN SHOW fantasy.
Hey guys, watch as he quotes line by line and turns everything I've said into an attack...in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... |
