Amps and Ramps will have their "soft opening" on Monday, January 18th. Their Grand Opening will be sometime in the Spring. Ramps and Amps is located on West Broad Street in the Old Wilson Building (near the train depot). Their phone number is (931) 537-RAMP (7267). The park features a 4' mini ramp (24' wide), a 8' halfpipe (20' wide), a 4' spine (8' wide), a 4' quarter pipe (24' wide), and two 6' bank ramps. A street course is "in the works." There is also a skateshop inside that is run by JJ Johnson.

In late 2006 our friend, Ray Underhill, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, for which he has been receiving successful treatment. However, as part of his ongoing treatment, Ray and his family will be traveling to California for continued radiation therapy. The travel and medical expenses will be more than what a normal family can afford, and we, his friends, co-workers, fellow skaters, and human beings
